Amphenol BSI has been the leader in the High Tech Backplane Assembly Industry for the past 30 years. We have traditionally focused on Signal Integrity, Design, Assembly and Test of High Speed Backplane systems, mainly for the global IT Datacom markets. Our main manufacturing facilities are located in Changzhou, China & Mexicali, Mexico, but we can also leverage Assembly opportunities across Amphenol’s global manufacturing footprint.

We provide a set of resources, capabilities & tools that are unique in the backplane industry. We can support development programs early in the system concept / simulation stage, at mechanical and signal layout, and later providing DFM / DFT  feedback on full turnkey design to Backplane assembly and test. ABSI can also develop the product into a vertically integrated system solution for OEM customers.

Several of our High Speed backplane customers have required Passive Assemblies & Hybrid Backplane products from ABSI. These products  make up a growing portion of the overall product portfolio.

Amphenol BSI are currently releasing new  Backplane & Shelf products related to the VITA and PICMG open standards. We will initially provide  product for VITA VPX, VME & VMX standards designs followed by PCIE Serial & ATCA backplanes.
