ABSI have a range of Standard Backplanes from the VITA and PICMIG protocols. For standard versions we can manufacture and ship samples within two weeks. For customised versions the leadtime is 12 weeks from order point. No. ABSI can assist or directly project manage the full design process, but it must lead to a volume production business opportunity.
No. Once in volume production not all backplanes go through signal integrity testing but we highly recommend that backplanes that will support data rates > 25Gbs go through SI testing prior to shipping. ABSI have developed high-speed RCI test technology to cope with this in the production environment. We can provide more information on request.
